Saturday 9th May — Songwriter Evening

Not your typical open mic.

This is a night dedicated entirely to original songwriting.

Join us on Saturday 9th May at Ysceifiog Village Hall for an evening where the audience comes to listen — and the performers share their own work.

Whether you’re a songwriter ready to perform or someone who loves discovering new music, this is your invitation.

For the Audience

Come and experience exceptional local musicians performing the songs they’ve written — not covers, not background music, but original work in a room designed for listening.

Take your seat before 7:30pm and be part of an audience that gives music the attention it deserves.

For Performers

If you write your own songs, this is your stage.

The evening follows an open mic format, open to all songwriters — with one key rule: original music only.

You’ll perform in front of a genuinely attentive audience, in a space with excellent acoustics and professional sound, giving your songs the best possible setting.

Each performer will have the opportunity to play at least two songs (more if time allows), so bring your best work.

The Evening

• 7:00pm – Performer registration (tea and coffee available)
• 7:30pm – Music begins (please be seated)
• £3 entry (all proceeds support Ysceifiog Village Hall)

This isn’t a pub or club environment — no distractions, no talking over performers — just a room focused on songwriting.

The evening is supported by Jay Reigns Recording Studio, Denbigh, helping ensure high-quality sound throughout.
